Media Library Policy Procedures 12/15/2014

Purpose

This committee maintains the media library for the Intergroup, making the tapes, cd's and other media available to as many groups and individuals in the fellowship as possible. The committee maintains documentation on the resources and the current location of the resources. The committee works with the other committee to bring media to events and with the webmaster to upload media to the Triangle OA Intergroup website. The committee maintains the Intergroup's Audio Video Library web page.

Document Purpose

This document is designed for and by the Triangle OA Intergroup's Media Library Committee and describes the policies and procedures past members used. The basic purpose of the committee is described in the Intergroup's general policy document.

Information relevant to all committees and committee chairs is in the Triangle Intergroup Bylaws. It is recommended that all committee chairs review committee information in the bylaws at the beginning of their terms to understand basic Intergroup committee policy for budgets, authority, and responsibilities. Budget

The Intergroup Media Library budget has been used to pay for cd's, tapes, postage for mailing media, and making copies of media, storage containers, and labels for media. Reimbursement Policy for more information.

These are used to transport the media library to Intergroup and to different events.

Suggestions on Sharing Media Resources

Bring the library to Intergroup and remind members to check out material. Work with the Ask a meeting to arrange a visit to another meeting. Consider having sister meetings. Send a note to Intergroup and invite others to go to a specific meeting on a specific day. Arrange car pools. Consider asking groups to sponsor events and consider working with the 12 Step Within committee to create a skit and take it on the road.
